I'm shocked. I really thought all the Big East coaches would stay put.

You mean after Cincy lost their coach  ;)

I would not take the 'bama job. It's a bad move.

Are you kidding?  Mike Freakin' Shula won 11 games with an SEC schedule while having limited scholarships.  Imagine what a real coach could do.

Oh yeah, and Alabama probably doubles his salary.   ;)

Not a done deal just yet.  RR is giving WVU a chance to respond, and indeed they will.  This one could go down to the wire.

Multiple TV stations in Bama are saying it's a done deal and now Dennis Dodd is claiming the same thing.

I think at this point, he's gone. But you never know, Steve Spurrier agreed to a deal with the Bucs in 1995, and reneged the next morning. Joe Paterno did the same thing to the Jets in 1977. Coaches change their mind.

I just don't see it happening.

Just to note another outlet is now reporting what Bien said, he's going to have one more chat with WVU officials tomorrow.

RR was quoted earlier that no decision has been made, and an apparent press conference was postponed.  The offer is made, and obviously with an offer meant some meaningful negotiations or discussions occurred.  ESPN is only reporting an offer was made, no acceptance.  All of the reputable news sources are saying 'offer' at this point.  I doubt he's staying too, because he clearly talked to Moore, but we shall see.  WVU is supposedly upping their comp package to meet Bama.

It should get interesting, do you think WVU is stepping up big time or are they going to fart around with him like they did last year.

I don't know how I feel about it.  Part of me realizes that if he goes there are a ton of WVU recruits I would love to see USF scoop up, but on the other hand I'd hate to see a good coach go.

We shall see, but you know our staff must be talking to Jock Sanders, Gradkowski, and Andrew Harris.

This guy is staying in WVU.  I bet CJL is kicking himself in the a$$ for not taking it as far as RR did. Maybe he could have at least gotten that dinning hall.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
