I hope every Gator fans chokes on their lunch today. That sums up my feelings towards UF. Maybe my wish of the Taliban unleashing some Anthrax in Gainesville will become reality... and then we won't ever have to have a UF discussion again.

ummmm....UM will not be representing our school at all.  They are from the rust belt home of the unemployed.  That school and region has nothing to do with us.  At least UF is in the same state.  They represent FLorida football. The greatest football state in the country!

Screw Michigan and Ohio State!

"Best football state in the country"

- i beg to differ.. U have the Jaguars who to this day have had 8 sellouts... The dolphins cant even sell out hone playoff games... Miami, yes the university of MIAMI just had 23,000 people at there regular season finale.. UCF cant get 30,000 people there consistently, USF a BCS school (2nd biggest school in southeast) has had one game where more then 40,000 people have been there..

-now the statement florida has some of the best athletes in the country, i might agree with.. but come on, u have a hard time proving ur point..

USF has had THREE games with more than 40,000 fans:

- Kentucky Weslyan, 1997

- WVU, 2005

- UCF, 2005

USFBuckeye, Weren't you the one on the other website telling everybody, "I go to USF, but I don't like the football team?"  Didn't you also say nobody picks USF as thier first choice and that is a back-up school?

I thought you were a Buckeye fan through and through.

"A playoff would make the regular season meaningless" the anti-playoff crowd says.

Yet it's the same among you who are arguing for a Michigan rematch, which of course renders the regular season meaningless (forcing OSU to beat Michigan twice, while Michigan only has to beat them once).

That is ludicrous, and thus it is what I am hoping for, to break the BCS once and for all. Alas, I think the voters will do the "right" thing, and make Florida #2, and Florida will get utterly and totally annihiliated by OSU and I will have to listen to idiot Buckeye fans talk about how great their team is for another year.

Not that Gator fans are any better, in fact, the whole situation makes me sick to my stomach, but if it at the very least exposes the SEC for being the most overrated entitity in any sports affiliation since Kolopos of Marathon came into the games of the 99th ancient Olympiad, then at least there's some positive that can come from it.

Do not overrate the SEC. Voters consistently overrate the SEC because there are more of them from the SEC than anywhere else. The only reason people THINK the SEC is so good is because of these ratings. Go ahead and look at Sagarin's predictor numbers for the SEC (the ones the BCS doesn't use because they're actually, you know, ACCURATE AT PREDICTING GAMES) and you'll see the SEC the way they really ought to be seen.

I live in Ohio and have been to football games at Cincinatti, 15,000 on hand; Miami (OH) 12,000 on hand; and Bowling Green 12,000 on hand. Ohio State and Florida cancel each other out.

FSU > Toledo, Ohio's second most attended games.

very tru... tho i am not a usf fan, i do attend the school and like creeping around on message baords...

my apologies for being off on the number of games weve had ovr 40 thou..

Altho i do not come here to trash usf at all... I just saw a broad topic and decided to put forth my opinion...

And i no u gusy think im gonan sya Ohio is the best.. I do think the midwest passion is unmatched from any state...But i feel its texas, not only do they have passion but they have the athletes... Those big 3 texas schools r always sold out and rockin...

and i didnt say nobody goes here as there first choice... My quote was "outside of medical students, i have met very few people who came to usf as there first choice"....

My statemtn there was not attempting to down USF, someone said "thats y our student fan base sucks(i didnt say that soem other dude did)"... The i said no this is why... its a pretty accurate theory as to why u see so many other team colors around the school.. It may b an unfortunate theory but it is tru..

And again i dont want people saying i should get banned and stuff cause i am not here bashing u... I was actually dissapointed USF didnt go to a better bowl, even with a win agaisnt ecu i doubt they will get the resepct...

but anyway thats it.. good luck to u guys in the bowl

I did not say our fan base sucks.  I said people make fun of our fan base because we have certain people who do nothing to support the universities athletic teams and root for other teams.
