I guess the people of Louisiana have recovered enough to afford tix, airfare and accomodations.  ::)

Tampa is 456 miles from Birmingham and Greenville, N.C., is 556 miles away, but East Carolina's fans are known to travel well and the Pirates averaged more fans (37,168) per home game than did South Florida.

What is that, by plane?

Mapquest has 603 miles and google map has 551 miles...

Lousiville would sell just as many tickets as LSU would. It's pathetic that the Governor of Louisiana had to go and and lobby (beg) to the Rose and Orange bowl execs.

The Bulls sold 6,200 tickets at their first bowl game, the Meineke Car Care Bowl last year in Charlotte. South Florida paid for about $380,000 in unsold tickets because it had to guarantee 12,500 tickets for the bowl.

Can we NOT let this happen again?  >:(

The time of year does hurt many that are not Die-Hard BULLS, but I do hope with the recent excitement, we get close to the 10K !

If you can't or won't go to the game, PLEASE but atleast 1 ticket to HELP USF !

We're going to lose money on this bowl game if the payout is only 300K.  Good thing we have the Big East payout.

It helps if read ALL of the threads before you post....

That payout goes to the Big East, which reapportions its bowl revenues to supplement the payouts to participating schools, so they don't lose money on the bowl trip. USF will get $1.1-million from the Big East if it goes to Birmingham.
