In response to a few of the comments, our packages again will be up on Monday with information.  We will once again be doing some special events on Friday and Saturday working with the rest of the University and the Alumni Association to plan those.  As they are finalized, we'll let you know.

Hello all

I'm going, but more importantly, what the hell  besides watching Bulls dominate  is there to do in Bham.

I'll be going with 6 people.

I was in BHM in November and stayed at the Sheraton downtown. There is nothing to do around the hotel unless you like to by jacked up by muggers and bums.

About 3 miles east of downtown there is a area called the Five Points South district of Birmingham that has all kinds of clubs, restaurants and bars.

Me and the eight year old are planning on heading to Birmingham via car. We got reservations at the Sheraton, I hope it is not as bad as I am feeling people are saying.

I'm going plus 1 = 2. Staying at the Sheraton. Went to Bama in 03 vs. Alabama. Nothing to do in Bama.

Although the downtown area has soem decent bars.

Just made reservations at the Sheraton Birmingham for me and the family.  I said screw it... I can cancel without penalty if we go to Texas.

There are a few cheaper rates out there, but I decided that I wanted to stay at the Team Hotel this year.  Got 2 nights (22/23) for about $210 after taxes.

is everyone sure this wil be the team hotel?

Also, where do you see that you can cancel?  Their website says no.

It says that it is the Big East team hotel on the PapaJohns.com website.

If you do it through the "Hotel Offers" section of their website, there is indeed a liberal cancellation policy.
