The C-USA championship game is Friday night.  After the game, the C-USA bowl invitations will be set.

For the record, this is what the situation appears to be. If USM wins the CUSA championship friday night, They automatically go to the Liberty Bowl. In that case , word is the GMAC (next on the priority list) wants to take ECU. If Houston wins, they go to Liberty, and GMAC will take USM. In that case, ECU ends up in New Orleans or Birmingham. Birmingham gets priority and word is tey like ECU because you can guarantee 15k+ ticket sales, likely around 20k. This is not speculation or school pride in these attendance projections. Its record of our bowl attendance in the 90s and in 2001. For this reason, its likely no CUSA bowl assignments will be made until after friday.

Also for the record, very few people here think USF was undeserving of a BE invite. I believe we simply wished (and still do) we would have been invited as well. With the improvements your programs have made over the last decade, coupled with your staggering student population at USF (close to 40k?? i think) , anyone who knows anything knows you were a pretty solid choice for them.
