great!

2007 set

2008 set

and we could be 5-0 or 4-1 starting BE play both years with grothe and company

a good start in the BE an we could be ranked, a serious run in the BE and bang we are top 15, this would be good for recruiting. esp if UM and FSU stay down for the next 2 years.

if we end both years ranked top 25 and win our bowl games that could be enough to make us a legit part of the big 4 in FL.

terrible

usf needed to go on the road and play a top 20 team

it seems program can use the $$$$$$$$$$$$ also

usf will not improve as a program playing such a poor OOC schedule

back to reality

usf will mmost likely finish this year 3-4 in conference and 7-5 going into a bowl game

until usf plays and suceeds playing aquality schedule they will not be ranked

4-1 and losing to nc st usf would not be ranked, wins over fiu and tenn-martin are not quality wins

beating ftu/ou/oc is also not a quality win

Miami can't sell out their own home games. I see no reason why they'd sell out ours.

I understand having to play 1-AA schools....but why not someone we have heard of. I was hoping to see a Georgia Southern or a Hofstra. Oh well, it is what it is.

If you haven't heard of Tennessee-Martin, you're not paying very close attention. The Skyhawks are in the I-AA playoffs and have gone 9-1 after losing their opening game to the Ohio Bobcats. They are ranked ahead of I-A teams Memphis, Utah State, Duke, Temple, and FIU in the computer rankings the BCS uses. Hofstra is 2-9 this year and Georgia Southern is 3-8.

I think it's a very good possibility.

Matthew's SR year ... expecting our team to be improving each season.

UM should be back on track and obviously the "biggest" team to visit Tamplona.

I think it's a very good chance with walk-ups that day.

hilltoppers might play gators in '07

western kentucky university is in discussions to play its 2007 football season opener at florida on sept. 1.

officially, the gators are set to open 2007 against central florida, but the golden knights are looking to opt out of the game. wku, florida and central florida athletic officials confirmed the talks but added that no contract has been signed.

wku will be in the first of two transition seasons next year as the school upgrades to ncaa division i-a football.

"we're helping another institution which is trying to make things happen on their schedule," western athletic director wood selig said. "we might help ourselves with another scheduling partner by stepping in on the florida contract. we have a lot of scheduling flexibility."

central florida spokesman joe hornstein said the game against florida was scheduled "many" years ago and that the golden knights are seeking a more "balanced schedule."

he pointed out that central florida will face texas at home to open its new 45,000-seat stadium in september.

western will count as a i-aa opponent next season because it's the first transition year.

selig declined to speculate on the payout from florida. the hilltoppers received $400,000 from georgia to play their 2006 season opener. they lost 48-12 in athens.
