Would you trade Grothe for Tebow?

its clear that Matt has won over the hearts of us Bulls fans and we would not want to turn our backs on him.  It could end up that Tebow wins a heisman but Matt is the right guy for our team and we will keep it that way.

Grothe is a great player for the points discussed on here countless times, and the limited play I've seen of Tebow, stiff arming and running over a linebacker and hitting a receiver in stride against the best defense in the country (LSU) tells me that kid will be special.

I think it's a decent question, but I won't answer because neither have played enough. Lemme get back to you in 2 years.

PS - Leak was the most recruited QB in the country his senior year.

Despite the love fest for Grothe, I would gladly take Tim Tebow. While he hasn't been given the captains seat completely, he has shown he can compete vs the best of the SEC.

Grothe has been great, but he has yet to face anything resembling a top defense. I don't think Grothe would have the amazing success vs say UF as he is having vs say.... Uconn.

Tebow apparently has talent, but he hasn't done squat yet unlike Grothe who has led several come from behind drives.  Plus, does he have the guts, drive, determination, and passion that grothe has.  Who knows, he might, we don't know yet.  He hasn't had a game that he has started yet.  He hasn't had a game where he has faced tremendous adversity, and put his team on his shoulders and carried them, he hasn't led a come from behind drive in the last 30 seconds.  Show me that, and then we'll talk.  In the meantime, I'll take Grothe.

The only reason Tebow plays is because UF has no running backs. If they did they'd use them in running situations. Would they use a QB if they had Emmitt Smith, Erict Rhett, or Ernest Graham?

I take it you don't like the #2 team in the country.  

But its clear that a lot of people are just playing favorites here...Tebow has looked outstanding (albeit not in an entire game), and so has Grothe (albeit not against a good D), but both of these guys have shown the ability to become Heisman candidates.

Bottom Line anyone who chooses 1 over the other is jumping to conclusions.
