Both papers refer to last year's UConn game as the most disappointing loss.

Any other candidates ?

ET, for someone whose posts are optimistic this is a downer of a topic.   :)Having said that, my most disappointing is UConn or Army.

UAB 2003.  Probably cost a bowl bid.

UConn would have to top the list. We could have been playing at home for the right to go to a BCS game. It's hard to find a loss that was tougher than that one.

UConn was dreadful, and Army was just humiliating.  No one saw the Army one coming, especially since it was a home game.  But with last year's team and so much at stake I'd have to put the UConn game as the most disappointing loss.  Winning this year won't make up for what could have been last year, but the Bulls need to get this one for sure tonight.

UCONN.  not only because of what was at stake, but also because of how it was lost.  Just many opportunities.  Plus it was so close that it was just a heartbreaking loss.

Army, UAB (costly for bowl bid), UCONN (costly for more media exposure and BIG EAST championship game with WVU for BCS bid), ECU loss to Cincy when USF went 9-2. That loss by ECU to Cincy cost USF's bowl bid to the Hawaii Bowl, so it did hurt because USF could not control their destiny that year thanks to C-USA for making us wait.
