Well last week this happened:

The Bobcats marched the ball to the Bears' 14 yard line on their first drive but walked away scoreless. Chase Wasson was pressured looking to pass, and threw the ball out of bounds to avoid a loss. Wasson was called for intentional grounding on third down, forcing the Bobcats to attempt an unsuccessful 44-yard field goal a team from Kyle Bronson.

So far Bronson is 2 for 4 for the Texas State Bobcats...

So who knows?  Who cares?

Benzer has a strong leg, he just needs to get his aim more accurate then he will be ok. This is why I kind of wish USF would have kicked that FG against Kansas. It would have been a short FG that Benzer should make which could help his confidence.  If he would have missed that short FG then we can start looking for a new kicker.

I mostly agree with that.  It would have been nice for him to get a shot to make a FG when the game was still young and not so much would be riding in it.  We can't look back at Bronson or any other non-choice.  We need to look at rehabbing Benzer's skill set and having some confidence at that position.

I think Leavitt needs to hire a special teams coach after this season. I think Leavitt is putting too much on his shoulders by trying to coach special teams. In the past we have had the Gramaticas that really made life easier for everyone. Now, we need a coach that can help out with these kickers.
