I'd say around 25K.

Although it's a conferece game, it's still 'off cycle' which - given our fanbase - you do have to take into account. I would imagine season ticket holders are in at 16.5K + 9K others (students, walk-up).

The oracle today said the crowd is an expected 30k

Well...then I guess it's really only going to be a couple of dozen...assuming there's nothing good on TV.  ;)

Not on a Friday night. Expect a strong showing from the studs/bullies, but don't expect the casual fan or the Greeks to miss out on party night.

What is Sat. night? Greeks will be there

Maybe your right, I know they weren't at the UCF game.

how do you know the greeks weren't at the game?  from my fraternity, just about everybody went except for like 6 guys.  you do realize that greeks are regular students and do not wear their letters everywhere they go?

Conf. game is a draw (slightly)

NJ/NY is a draw

Ranked team is a draw (Does anyone know other than us here on the board?)

Playing on High School night (big negative)

28,00 in stands at best.

You forgot: nationally televised game (big positive)

Yes, people know that Rutgers is ranked.  Every ad for the game on ESPN talks about "#23 Rutgers" ... and the high school night is not that big of a negative -- most USF fans don't attend high school games...

I would expect 31,000 to be there.

I voted 38K plus, but realistically probably 34-35K.  Remember we did real well in conference attendence last year (I know 2 out of 3 were against UL and WVU).  Anyone recall off the top of their heads what we had against the Bearcats last year.

Ok fine, half the seats were empty because the people who stood in line decided not too show up. I know you had other cirsumstances that didnt allow you to go, but the student section at that game was half empty until the UCF students started filling it up.

There's no way we'll have less that we had against the bearcats.  Was that a nationally televised game against a top 25 opponent.
