wait-- did Ronnie Banks transfer to KU and change his name to Barrman?

I was thinking Julmiste is the backup for both teams...

PJ is not slow. No where near as slow as Ronnie was, if I recall correctly.

Their starter reminded me more of Julmiste.  He's a big kid, and a lumbering runner like Pat.  Once he gets a head of steam he's difficult to take down, but is also just as easily tripped at the LOS.  Also, he doesn't really see the whole field just yet, so has a tendency to force things like Pat did.

you have to prepare for both (or all three) regardless.

what will suck is that IF USF WINS and Meier doesn't start, the Negative Nellies will claim USF was lucky to win that KU wasn't at full strength. And even if he does start, they will remind us repeatedly how he was hurt.

You can't win with this ******* people. Exhausting, exasperating--- they are all things and nothings.

I don't care who plays QB for Kansas.

I just want a USF WIN!

That's all part of the game. We have guys out as well. You just have to find a way to win.

We have quite a few playes injured and out but I rarely hear about that.  Kind of interesting how a Coach talks about his QB and everyone speculates as to what he really means.  Could be he means just what he said.

oh I also noticed how Mangino took blame for the Toledo game.  Not much like that last coach we played against.

#1 seems a little wrong to me. Grothe will continue to run-- so we will have a running threat they have to be concerned with. But the KU pass defense has not been so hot so far. It would be nice to get some sort of production out of our RBs, but any run production might be enough regardless of where it comes from. We will be passing early and often in this game imo.

Yeah, Grothe will continue to run when the opportunity presensts itself... but if the Kansas coach watched any of the UCF game (you can bet he did) they will be ready.  We need another threat in the backfied or they will key off on the QB all day.  Watch for Kansas to put a spy on him and consistently drop 6-7 into coverage to keep up with the recievers.  If someone, ANYONE in the backfield can take some pressure off Grothe this week, they'll be able to keep the Kansas defense honest.  Then Grothe will make `em pay.

If the running game come out flat, this may be a long night for the Bulls.
