I drove through Kansas once.  Would rather have sex with cee than ever go back to that god forsaken place!

Lawrence is one of the few redeming qualities of the State. One thing is for sure. Kansas may be flat, but not as flat as Florida....not that that's sayin' much.

It's not the terrain, it's the stench of cow manure.  It lasts the entire drive through the state.  My Wife & I couldn't breathe.

Hey kids... Can you say "burnout"?   Holy schnikies Flip, to say that I'm bad with remembering names is a gross understatement, I suffer from C.R.S. (can't remember ****) so I'm sorry. Don't feel bad I do it to everybody...  And after meeting so many people (and beers) Saturday, the 3 or 4 brain cells that do work, went on strike.

My wife and I will be there. Getting in Friday evening and flying out Sunday morning. $35 is WAyyyy too much for the AA tailgate.....I will attend my first when the y come down off that rediculous price.

It's a 3 and a half hour drive to Hutchinson and Prairie Dunes. It's the best course in Kansas. Probably top 10 nationally. That's a pretty long drive though. Alvamar in Lawrence was in the top 80 in the nation about ten years ago.  That's the last time I checked anything like that. Unfortunately, the public part of it is pretty run of the mill. If you can make it to Manhattan, KS (about an hour and a half drive) you can get into Colbert Hills. It's very similar to Prairie Dunes (like old British courses) and is strruggling financially. It was built by Jim Colbert and is supposed to be a very nice and challenging course. Other than that your list is pretty solid. I'd say that Colbert and dunes might be better than any on your list, but don't know anything about how difficult it is to get on the course. The weather should be nice for ya.

Hallbrooke and Wolf Creek are very close to Lawrence.
