[mods, for the 3rd time, do not delete this post: there is nothing obscene or inappropriate about it.  suppressing the thoughts of board members is reminiscent of stalin and hitler burning the books of their own citizens in an effort to suppress and sensor their opinions.]

Here's a clue, homeboy, this IS a dictatorship ...... with a very magnanimous dictator. If it was any kind of a democracy, you would be but a memory....

The online article was corrected and the print edition is also accurate.

I think he owes a small donation to the board for our proofreading efforts.

Many people were surprised after last season when Jim Leavitt turned down the chance to be the head football coach at Kansas State, where he spent six seasons before coming to the University of South Florida. The offer - $9 million spread over six years - was loads better than what he made at USF.

In Leavitt I Trust....

The usual suspects on here can attack him all they want, but you cannot take away what this man has done for our program....built us into a D-I BCS School, in 10 short years.

For those of you calling for his head (constantly) how awesome would it be if, check that, WHEN, we get to the promised land?

he needs to worry about scoring AT LEAST A POINT IN A BOWL GAME before we can even whisper the words "promise land".. we're still not a blip on the radar.  slow your roll.

Hey Cee, if we elect you USF's biggest mega fan and give you a special tee shirt will you please GIVE IT A **** REST!   ::)  There are schools out there that have never been to a bowl or haven't in decades.  Leavitt did it in less than 6 yrs of D1A play.

I think that Jim Leavitt has done a great job and we are lucky to have him as our coach.  He is a class act.

GO BULLS!!!!

The Jim has done a good job for SFU and he may be the reason you have achieved the heights you have but the grass must be well cured and you are smoking it without a filter if you think he is going to take you to a National Championship anytime in the near future.

We may not win one in the near future, but one of the main reasons we even have a chance is because of the amazing work he has done at our school.

Now you can go back to your UCF'er board and dream about trying to win a C-USA Championship while we stay her e and dream of winning a BCS Championship, something your team will NEVER have the chance to do if the status quo remains....which I hope it does!

It is about the journey and for those that are fans if you haven't enjoyed it you have truely failed to recognize an amazing feat in this day and age of high profile big money college football.  I go back to Greenberg who is more typical of coaches today and just wanted USF as a stepping stone and never really planned on staying here long term.
