They could have worked with the Athletic Department to expand our orders and sell the excess in the bookstore but unfortunately that would have taken effort. I am sure if a University entity had a desire for more uniforms SB would have been more than happy to sell the uniforms to them.

Maybe the bookstore manager went to St. Bonaventure ???

I read the entire thread and bullwarks's post didn't answer my question:

You know it might have helped if you had read and understood my question before engaging your keyboard.

" What exactly is Nike doing that is peventing the bookstore from purchasing replica jerseys?" - Turkeysoup -

Some people thrive on overcoming difficult situations, while others just give up and tell you how hard it was.

"When the going gets tough, the tough get going."

Quitting isn't part of RMC's or CJL's vocabulary.

It seems Sports Authority was able to manage it, perhaps they should call them and get some pointers.

According to a manager at the Campus Bookstore, they will not be carrying replica Nike jerseys, the manager stated they are very difficult to work with and they (Nike) will not supply them with replica jerseys, however, they will be carrying a replica jersey by some other brand.

I just purchased a Nike Dri-Fit coaches shirt @ The Nike Outlet Ellenton for $19.99...

We were right there with the UFs & FSUs and UMiamis of the world.... NEAT!

I guess that we are indeed part of the "Big 4".....  :D

That was a conversation last year about the bookstore getting Nike jerseys and the picture is my signature.

I got the same shirt (green) a couple weeks ago down there.   It's obviously the 2006 shirt but a very nice shirt for a great price.

Honestly, I would rather go with UA, but I dont know if they would sponser/let or however it is done, another school other than Maryland to wear their products on the field such as unis and stuff, bc I think that UA is a better product than Nike...but that is only my opinoin...

UA will eventually get there, and hopefully USF will be a target that will at least elicit a better deal with Nike or a good deal with Under Armour or Adidas. However for now they have taken an approach to go for schools that will produce large amounts of revenue.

The creator was a football player at Maryland so naturally he gave them a good deal to them. They signed Auburn and Texas Tech last year and this year got South Carolina. They also do 1 or 2 high school teams.

The one thing UA has offered that the other companies haven't is featuring their coaches in commercials. Tuberville was in a few last year, as has Friedgen since they were incepted. They recently ran a Spurrier commercial during the NFL draft too.

They call it a "coaches shirt", but I don't believe Jim Leavitt ever wore that exact shirt.  It a great shirt for $19.99 but it's not worth the $55 list price. It would be nice if they also sold them in white with green trim.
