It could be that the Bucs signed Andre knowing of his value and with the intent on trading him at a later date.

As mentioned, they have quite a few RBs already and know a the kind of back he can be.   If he doesn't make the roster, then at least he will have some experience in the preseason and showcased to teams that could use his talent.

He'll stick somewhere and, wherever that is, the team will be the better for it.

The problem with Tampa Bay is that Andre will have a huge battle. If he makes the team I dont see him seeing the field much with Pittman and Caddy. I think that he would have been better off signing with another team. San Fran looked like a team he may have even competed for a starting position. I think Andre's agent droped the ball here.
