I plan on hitting the bed right after work today, then getting on the road at like 3 or 4am, so we can get to Charlotte by 11 or 12.  Got 3 going, so we plan to drive in shifts.

That is our planned time for leaving also. Although, I have two kids(4&6) so being there by 11 or 12 may not be realistic.

For those driving, I drove to upstate NY before Christmas via Charlotte and it was 8 hours from Tampa to Charlotte with a stop for gas and breakfast (I left at 4:00am).

Also, if you leave before 5:00am, it's better to take I-4 to I-95 then up to I-26 and I-77.  It's all expressway and only 12 miles longer than going the US 301 route.  Only difference is going through two cities (Orlando and Jacksonville) - have to leave that early to avoid whatever rush hour there will be on Dec 30th.

Leaving tonight bout 8 or 9pm and getting to my initial destination of Fountain Inn, SC sometime early in the morning.

Will be spending the day in SC, hopefully leaving for Charlotte between 6 and 8 tomorrow night. Might miss a couple of the official Bull gatherings, but I will definately be hitting up the bars tomorrow night.
