Would be cool if he made it to a training camp. If drafted, would he be under the USF umbrella?

Not really, b/c It would make CJS and CAG look incompetent b/c they couldn't figure out how to use a 6'9, 300 Ibs of muscle player that runs a 4.8 40yd. Especially if he makes a roster.

Neither one of them could afford to start a project on either line and that certainly is what he was at that point. What that original article didn't tell you is where he was last year ...

He didn’t play anywhere last fall, but missed the game and wanted to give it another shot. His opportunity arrived via the NFL International Player Pathway program, a league initiative designed to “cover and develop elite global talent capable of competing in the NFL.”

Matos, 23, was among 15 players (representing seven different countries) chosen for the program’s Class of 2024. The group, which worked out extensively at IMG Academy, participated March 20 at USF’s pro day, where Matos ran the 40-yard dash in 4.88 seconds.

At minimum you could of had him rush every punt or field goal. At 6'9 with a decent vertical, he could have blocked a few.

Crazier things have happened. If he works harder than anyone else, he may see his dream one day of playing in the NFL.

If I recall correctly, he was the athlete that joined practice and blocked a couple of field goals in a row. CJS was excited how a basketball player with zero football experience could walk on like that and block field goals...I was saying to myself, what does it say about the football team when a basketball player can just walk onto the field and start blocking field goals...

A 6'9, run a 4.8 40 yd and 300Ibs of muscle athlete. Not all athletes are the same.

Someone needs to ask coach why he felt this guy wasn't good enough to see the field, with the weak defense we had, yet the NFL says he is worth a look

Ridiculous

He didn't play football last year or come out for football. He missed the game or decided he wanted to try to make the nfl.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
