The problem is, at some point you can't insure every player's move by giving them a fallback. That is not elite. It's a problem if you insure every player and give them a fall back. Nothing indicates we're doing that. You don't hear if there are ones who changed their mind but weren't allowed back. Each situation shouldn't be treated the same.

Speaking of who decided Miguel's fate, if both coach and player love each other to death, and player got lots of playing time, why did player leave? Maybe a higher profile school and tougher competition? Maybe Cash money.
Bob Loblaw Posted April 8 Group: Member Topic Count: 7 Content Count: 310 Reputation: 195 Days Won: 0 Joined: 09/17/2023 Share Posted April 8 Dude wants to play. Not really sure why he came off the bench. I think he’s on the move no matter what, but I’d assume CAAR will leave the door open.
panchosanchez99 Posted April 8 Group: Member Topic Count: 32 Content Count: 779 Reputation: 224 Days Won: 2 Joined: 04/13/2023 Share Posted April 8 He was off the bench 5 minutes after the game started. I don't understand how not starting was the issue. If you play 35 minutes per game, it does not matter if you start or come off the bench. I could buy him wanting to play 35 minutes per game rather than the 28.5 he averaged. Perhaps CAAR told him that he would need to change his style of play for his final year. I noticed something with Miguel that was different than everyone else on the team. While others passed the ball if they did not have an open shot, Miguel frequently did a lot of dribbling and opted not to pass to open players, opting instead to take up as much as 10 seconds trying to find a shot for himself.

Yeah, his game seemed off in the last few games. Way too many circus takes to the bucket that he previously would’ve have kicked out if the opening wasn’t there. Something seemed off.

That's a good question. Could be for one or more of a myriad of reasons but doubt we ever find out the real one ...... but that doesn't mean we won't have a lot of "theories".
