Dusty May and Miguel have mutual interest at Michigan.

Portal should be a one way door.

I don't think CAAR would that, though ..... like CAG didn't with Izzy.

I agree.  The problem is, at some point you can't insure every player's move by giving them a fallback.  That is not elite.

Agreed. Rule should be you enter the portal and your USF career is over.

Have to make it known no player is bigger than the team.

I don't know if I see it that way. I see it more akin as for example someone who works at a firm and applies for another job; doesn't get the job, or gets the job but then decides to stay put.

Or how is it different, for example for a coach to put his name out in the coaching carousel, willing to jump on a better opportunity, but not get the better job and than staying put?

If Miguel decides to stay at USF and takes his name out of the portal I will see that as a win for USF.

Yea, I do agree with that part. You assume he is gone, and you look for someone to replace him.

However, I feel that if his spot isn't filled, and he changes his mind, you welcome him back on board.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
