Right but we’re talking about two different things. Before you knew anything about the team you might assume, like I did, that USF would be USF and we’d be lucky to win seven or eight.

In retrospect ( and looking at the schedule back then) you could say there are easily 20 wins there for a competent team. We proved ourselves to be competent and more. That’s the difference. it’s been discussed before just look at the nonconference games and for most teams that’s nine or 10 wins right there.

I do agree. We were looking at it vastly differently ..... I wasn't using hindsight when talking about games we were supposed to win.

Games any competent team could win. Maybe it’s better to say “average to above average teams”.
