As much as I check this board we see from time to time the passing of a former bull. I had not seen this reported on here but a teammate of mine, Dexter Butler passed away. He is a former basebull. He was an talented athlete but even better friend to so many who knew him.  A local key west legend for his impact teaching, coaching and helping the youth. Just wanted to pay some respects to a great person on the bulls board. Rest in peace dex!

“Authorities found Butler’s body in a storm drain near the school’s gymnasium. After recovering it, foul play is not suspected in his death, Crean said. Axford told Keys Weekly that Butler was reaching for his keys that fell down the drain when he lost his balance and fell face-first inside. He drowned in 18 inches of water.”
