I'm more curious to see if UNT will still have a better NET than ours.

Yep, but closer ...

The fact that North Texas is still ahead of us shows you how illogical this system is.

Losses to St. John’s, LSU and Miss St. may not hurt as much as Maine, CMU, Western something.

Scheduling is weak.  Losing home pay games is bad.

Let’s just enjoy the ride as someone previously requested.

This has got to be the first discussion ever around NET rankings for the men’s basketball team.  (Can’t remember if that soft schedule Gregory team was just before NET or not).

When we’re ready to play better teams we’ll need to schedule them.  No one expected the need to be this season.

That shouldn’t matter. We play in the same league, we beat them at their place, and have won 6 more conference game than they have. I’m not sure what else you’d need to determine who is better.

Head to head, sure.

Body of work.  Not so.

Perhaps a conference tournament at the end of the regular season with teams seeded according to their head to head records would be an excellent and fair way to determine who is in fact better.

I just don't want the NET to be the main reason we get left out of the NCAA tournament this year. The team has obviously and measurably "leveled up", so of course we would very likely beat those early teams now. Unfortunately, the NET does not seem to factor in something as human as that.

For me, the body of work since December 9th should far outweigh those early losses, but it (the NET) is what it is (extremely flawed imo).

Hopefully, in a few hours (after the SMU game) all of this still applies. 😂🤘

Just after. The CBI team finished the post. season at #99.

NET not sole driver.  At least in the past, the tourney selection committe gave weight to “hot” teams.  We’ll see if that applies to the New American.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
