The difference between this team and past teams are that they are basketball player, not great athletes playing basketball.   They actually hit their open shots and play decent fundemental defense unlike past teams  that had highlight dunks only and played good defense.

I think winning 3 in the last 4-game stretch was telling.  It looks like the team may be rounding into a real team that does not have to rely on any one or two players to be successful.  I didn't think the Wichita State win was a thing of beauty,  but it was heartening to see others step up when Selton Miguel had an off game.

I don’t know that Selton actually had an off game. I think Wichita really paid him extra attention and then he forced some things.

Oh, I wasn't knocking his play against Wichita.  Just noting that others stepped up to replace his scoring, which hasn't always happened in the past.

They did storm the court.  Of course, there were maybe 30 fans of ours at Memphis so it was more of a gentle rain.
