No and knowing how AAC likes to put their contenders games towards end of season, I expect we will see Tulane and Memphis late on season and maybe a Friday Night TV game.

easiest way to a playoff.

on previous threads, I've listed all the successful teams that have moved up conferences only to become mediocre.

Including Miami who have only played for 1 conference championship since moving to acc.

moving up actually makes it tougher to make the playoffs.

Moving up puts you in position to make more money. Now with the NCAA looking to allow schools to pay players directly NIL $ for non educational expenses, the rich will get richer. Let me know when a non Power 5 school wins a National Championship. It may be easier to make the playoffs playing in the minor leagues at the moment (that may very well change), but I would argue to have a sustainable program with a chance to win the playoffs you need to be in a Power Conference. 

USF would jump in a heartbeat if offered. They want out of the AAC, you know that.

I share this sentiment. That needs to be our recruiting pitch. It's a 12 team playoff with 2 possible slots for G6 teams.

I never said such words. I feel while we are still a G6 and have an easier path, let's take advantage of the easier path. Many portal kids want money, but many want a national title as well. Those the players we need to recruit in addition to developing our current talent.
