You can also take a train from Downtown Tampa down to the general area. Almost as fast as driving.

I may end up doing that since I basically live within walking distance of the Amtrak train station downtown. Took the Amtrak down to Miami to watch USF beat the Canes years ago and if was a blast.

I just booked $70 R/T on Spirit flying into FLL Thursday morning and back early Friday morning.

On this flight as well, 10am into FLL and 9am back to Tampa.

@John Lewis, could this work for you? When I booked it said only about 4 seats left.

Was not planning to fly.

Rather come back right after the game. Still working on it.

Appreciate you looking out for me.

Downside - Check the return trip schedule first.

Just one word of caution.  I've taken Amtrak from Tampa to West Palm 3 times.  Every time the train has been 2-4 hours late.  It's actually late every day.  This is do to the fact that Amtrak has to yield to all commercial traffic on the tracks so when there's an unexpected freight train or a freight breaks down, Amtrak sits tight.  If you don't care that you might be arriving hours late, then go for it.  It's not a bad experience and the bar car is great!

Is USF doing anything to get that student energy to Boca.  Free tickets, free transportation, whatever?  It would be money well spent IMHO.

Student tickets are $11. Haven’t heard anything about transportation though.

Just had a friend call. He booked a flight from Tampa to Ft. Lauderdale for him and his wife for $31.00 total on Spirit Airlines. Said that if you go to the airport you can book flights substantially cheaper than online. Yes -Thirty-One Dollars. $15.50 each.

I'm trying to work to have a staff/donor bus to go to the game. Not sure if it will be successful, but worth a try.

We did this for the Miami Beach Bowl.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
