Come on Greg,  we all know that QBs are smarter then LBs.

Oh by the way  "www.thebullspen.com = "Malcom In the Middle"  If you have seen it you understand, if not, see it and you will understand.

Jimmy Oliver

Poplarville (MS)

Pearl River C.C.

Height: 6-foot-1

Weight: 180 pounds

40-yard dash: 4.5 seconds

why are people calling him short... 6'1 isn't short...  the 180 might be a bit light, but he has good height for a spread attack.

so is the equivelant of landing Hall 2 yrs ago?

He has a LOT to prove before being given that tag!  No knock on this QB, who looks very good, but Hall was a special running back here and comparing an incomming guy to what a guy has done is always a littlet premature ;).

It may be me and I may just be ignorant, but won't this cat be 33 before he ever sets foot on the field with the USF???  I know this has been discussed before, but I never saw an answer. . . Scout.com has him listed as . . .

Ht: 6-0 Wt: 170 40: 4.6

Position:  QB

Projected as:  QB

Position Rank:  JC

Date of Birth:  1/30/1973

Class:  Sophomore

Junior College:  Pearl River

College:  TCU

Also both scout and rivals have his college as TCU . . . did he play there?

THAT is older than me.  Apparently I'm young enough to be recruited.

Hey, kinda new to the board and hate to be a pessimist right off the bat but from what I've seen this kid was recruited by us, TCU, and Louisiana Tech why the lack of interest from any other BCS schools?  And why only 2 stars from rivals?  Carlton Hill was much more highly recruited than him at QB so maybe we shouldn't be moving him to WR just yet.

a lot of times the recruiting has to do with the high school coach or program.

if you come up at a program that doesnt have a good high school coach or a lot of history then you have a good chance of being overlooked.

its very possible that this guy came from a poor program and didnt have the best grades.

i dont write off kids because of their "stars"

ask steve mcnair about the benefits of being at a big program vs small.

how many people doubted him out of college...let alone high school
