BTW, the Hawaii Bowl is now played at the University of Hawaii's practice field that has a capacity of 16,000.  Would be an interesting venue.  That must be the smallest stadium in FBS, right?

Yes, section 108.

I really thought there were more people there than that in 2022.

@belgianbull, yes, we are much better now and there is much more excitement surrounding the program. My concern is that there is a good portion of our fan base, myself included, that would like to see the team go away for the bowl game and play somewhere we haven't played before.

I’d envision an Alabama type of crowd if a USF/UCF matchup were to happen and such a raucous environment that you wouldn’t know it was a semi-meaningless bowl game.

If the players prefer traveling out-of-state then cool, go for it. The above is my ideal scenario as a fan (which I also think is good for increasing interest in the program as well).

I still don't like it but I think it would draw 40-50,000 for a Friday night game of a holiday weekend.

I don't agree with this.  If this game happens my family and some friends will be flying down from Ohio for the game.  I suspect a USF / UCF game would draw 50,000+.  I know everyone in my circle is stoked for this to happen.  It definitely would not be a meaningless bowl.  Whether people like it or not UCF is still our rival.  Personally, I would love to see this game and we stomp them.  The players will feel that way too.  It would be on.

The program, under CAG's direction, needs to do what is BEST for the program.

Our defense will get torched... offense would have to put up 40+ to win...

That is what was said about Alabama as well.  That is also what everyone thought against UCF and Florida last year.  Big games against a perceived rival and then records and stats get thrown out.  It will be what it is but don't expect it to look like UAB/FAU.  For another example look at Auburn / Alabama on Saturday.  By records and stats Alabama should have won easily.  Our problem against UAB/FAU was that we were immature and didn't realize what CAG has been saying...foot on the gas every game, all game.  We came in flat and emotionally unprepared and got whacked.  That won't happen against the community college in Orlando.

Not sure that's true Brad.  The Mouse needs to do what's best for The Mouse.

The Mouse is currently destroying itself so I don't know if I would trust their judgment.

I think you may need some more +++++'s, and a prayer.
