Karter Knox - 5 star basketball to USF, a pipedream or not??

According to Joey Knight's article, USF is still in his top 4.  His brother is currently a redshirt sophomore at USF.  Knox is would be entering his senior season at Tampa Catholic is instead playing for Atlanta-based Overtime Elite, a pro basketball league for 16 to 20 year olds.  They can opt to play for salary or scholarship money to keep their college eligibility.  So he's all ready making good money.  He's probably a one and done to the NBA, but it would definitely boost the talent level while he's here.

He literally posted his Top 4 more than a week ago and only now is the TBT reporting it.

Had the same reaction John. Negative storylines are put out asap, whereas a 5* basketball recruit (or any positive news) gets put on the backburner until it can be spun negatively.

It just popped up on my news feed today.  I assumed they had just posted the article.  It was news to me and I hadn't see anything on here about him.  Powers that be, feel free to delete if not news worthy....

It was a knock at the TBT. Knox' Top 4 has been out since last week.

Definitely newsworthy. For the record, his final four Tweet was October 19 ....... and TBT posted it before anyone from TBP did, or I guess anywhere that TBPers actually follow on a regular basis.

obviously neither of you read the article.

Knight gave a lot of reasons for why he might pick us.

Also maybe he took the time to get quotes from his father.

The article was read. This a very big deal for MBB, so it shouldn't take more than 10 days to get quotes. 

It's not TBT hate as much as it's where the TBT views USF.

Considering how many on here complain about their coverage and claim they cancelled long ago, why should they consider our coverage a priority?

With as bad as the industry is, I'm just glad we have a local newspaper at all.
