I think they were too afraid to build an OCS after some students protested during the construction of Cal’s newer stadium. Those crazy students stayed in the trees because they didn’t want them removed for a sports venue. UCLA used to be decent many years ago but those days are gone due to the way those students feel about sports i guess

I never understood the facility arguments from others as I believe USF has always had better facilities than UCiF. I’m talking overall such as hoops and training facilities. Think that was another myth. Basically USF didn’t luck out on coaching hires like they did so that is the main driver imo

Chadwell or Herman were much better proven winning and offensive minded coaches. I am not sure why AD Mk risked his job on another inexperienced OC (2 years/1 year calling plays) as a head coach with the former fired fau dc again running the same 3-3-5 offense ad the last one. Only time will tell if Golesh can become better than either. He has a lot of ground to make up fast.
