I was watching the Bishop Sycamore documentary on HBO and noticed that, apparently, the BS High kids had toured the USF facilities at some point. The photo was only on the screen for about 1 second during the film. Completely innocuous, but still pretty funny to see.

Bomani nailed it. He is a symptom of the disease. Everyone profiting off of the kids out there. Selling them snake oil disguised as dreams. Feeding on the most vulnerable. Roy Johnson will eventually get his with interest.

He just declared bankruptcy last month. That slows everything way down. I would love to see the investigation into the potential PPE loan fraud he apparently committed using his players' information.

I immediately thought this thread was about USF compared to a BS high school…

They conned espn the king of sports media and entertainment... I love this is how far espn has fallen because they stopped being 100% focused on sports.

The sense I got was that ESPN didn't really care. They wanted IMG and had them locked in for the game and they were just looking for any team from Ohio to take the offer. Clearly little to no concern or research done by ESPN on that one, but they likely trusted the matchmaker that BS was working with.

I saw that in the documentary and noted the irony of the "Integrity" banner front and center in the picture above.  While Roy Johnson makes and obvious and easy villain, it was a pretty long lineup of people who failed in handling that whole Bishop Sycamore fiasco.
