I'm trying to think if the defense was that much better or if I'm just wanting it to be.

They were down their 2 top WRs for stretches of the game, had multiple drops and Reed over threw a few passes and didn't seem quite in sync. We had "some" pressure, but the it didnt feel like we were harassing Reed. Felt good being somewhat in the game in the 4th quarter.

The lack of pressure on the qb will gas the cbs and the defense won’t look good for long. It was a nice confidence booster for the guys, but we need to sustain pressure and create turnovers for the defense to really be good. The defensive stands were something to build off of, but not a panacea for their problems

I thought the constant running up the middle in the 2nd betrayed the defense.

I didn’t keep up with the last recruiting class, but I remember that Scott couldn’t bring in any dline men. That line being thin will not help this team take the step forward we need

Despite playing like ass we were in this game in the 4th quarter before it fell apart.

Offense needs to get more creative it was boring actually I did expect more from CAG in that regard. When they were creative they moved the ball what a shocker.

like most bad teams

guys we dont have alot of talent

Running is a double edged sword if you don’t move the chains. He wanted to run the clock and give the defense a break. But when you can’t move the chains you just usher them back into the field. They need to be more creative with their play calling for sure though. We need to limit the hb dives to situational goal line plays only basically.

Basic tenet of coaching. You have to recruit to win

Yeah fast to just go 3 and out fast is stupid that has to be handled better we aren't ready for fast they can barely run the plays well let doing them at hyper speed.

Run the plays well then worry about the speed.
