New color scheme for athletic facilities

For the life of me I never could figure out why they ever went with the putrid brownish color

The new football stadium renderings will likely have this color scheme when it comes out later this year.

I'm color blind and have a very hard time distinguishing between different shades.  is that bottom/trim color "USF Green"?

What am I missing? It just looks like fresh paint in the same colors? I know the signage may be getting updating, but are the structures actually changing paint colors?

I like the tan color of the buildings as it is a nod to the past.  When USF was developed, a conscious decision was made to build with tan bricks and not the traditional red bricks found on most older campuses.  This was to give it a more modern look in the early days as the university of the future.  That color has carried over for decades with both bricks and paint on campus buildings.  It's kind of our thing and I don't like this bucking of tradition to go with what looks like grey?  Now, get off my lawn!

My daughter is a student at USF now.  I always tell her how she can tell which buildings were there when her dad was there.  Look for the light tan/tan off-white bricks and the 1960's-style architecture.
