The amazing thing is that about this time last year (May ‘22), some on here were arguing about how GB was going to light it up at USF, such that he would be in the NFL this coming season

Now we are debating whether or not he can beat out a RS freshman and a transfer - times do change

Solid point. It will be the second time a true freshmen stole his job in back to back years.  Hooker is an interesting qb to look at because i wonder how much Golesh and Heupel had in taking him to New levels. He was pretty solid at VT before he transferred to Tennessee. I would love to see any of our qbs develop into anything near that level and win some big games.

7tds and 2 interceptions is much better than 6 tds and 6 interceptions. The yards per attempt per attempt are higher and Brown did this without our best receiver Weaver.  No category favors GB in any.other category other than he is older by 4 years.

Bohanon had a slow start, as did our entire offense, but in his last 3 games he found a spark and did really well

Against Tulane before going out injured: five rushes, 59 yards;  7 out of 8 passing 109 yards

Against Cincy 14 rushes 117 yards, 11 out of 21 passing 139 yards

Against ECU 13 rushes for 74 yards, 18 out 28 passing, 253 yards

6 td 0 int, 2 rushing td

Not arguing that Brown shouldn't be the starter, but Bohanon did really well late on.

Yet he has a low completion  percentage,  1:1 td into ratio,  low qbr, and low yards per attempt. Nothing favors him other than being 24 and  more experience  being 6th year super covid  redshirt junior college football player.

So by your myopic logic, Chuck did more for USF than Willie because he was 21-16 and Taggart was 24-25...

Technically he is our second best coach  that got fired for accomplishing much more than Jeff Scott got extended for.

BB has that moxy thing but if you ignore GB’s athletic talent you are fooling yourself.  GB was showing  how he could carry the team on his back, pick up the necessary 3rd down yards every time.  BB came in while the offense already started clicking so that was an advantage.  I like them both so I won’t be disappointed either way, however our defense is complete trash, if they don’t drastically improve we could have Joe Montana under center and we would still be sub 500.

1 guy (player 1) faced BYU, Howard, UF, Louisville, ECU, Cincinnati, and Tulane

1 guy (player 2) faced Temple, SMU, Tulsa, and ucf

most of those stats for player 2 was against Tulsa ... the 99th defense in the country last season

Trying to argue that player 2 is better than player 1 based on the "stats" is just stupid ... but

I think the argument that ccs is our 2nd best coach speaks volumes for the analytic ability of anyone trying to make it .... just saying
