Finally got some pitching tonight and did just enough with the bats.  Hudi was the star on the mound going 6 strong.  Tanner Mink had 2 more good innings and Riley Skeen picked up the save in a scoreless ninth.  Offensively the Bulls didn't do much.  Our first hit was with 2 outs in the 5th.  An inning later we were able to scratch 2 runs across on a Bobby Boser RBI single and then a John Montes RBI sac bunt.  We had chances in the 7th and 8th but were unable to capitalize.  Much needed victory for the baseball team as they now go to Long Beach State this weekend.

A winning against a former big east foe is always good .

Who saw that coming? And Pitt had just put up 9 in a win at Stetson on Sunday. Who knows? But good for Hudi. He looked strong in his first start vs. Maryland. Maybe he'll come around and be a consistent mid-week guy for us.

Just FYI, Northeastern won at Duke today, 2-1. They’re having a heck of a start. Good for them.

@smazza  We'll be looking for reports from Long Beach on Saturday.
