How do you know that.  How do you know CAG isn't just a flat out better coach than former Coach Scott

Thank you for this.  I think a lot people here forgot what ability Joiner has shown in the past, due to the emergence of Battie last year.

Joiner has rushed for 1,256 yards at USF and has a career YPC average of 5.3.  If healthy, he could easily be an 800-1,000 yard back.

If and only if... Powell is younger and bigger. I think Powell more power with some nice speed, Joiner smaller and fast, and a third rb could be a solid rotation.

I’m not too worried about those are leaving. I believe CAG will eventually have his own players.

For me that's almost a given that he will be better. Is there a coach who had a worse record over 3 years than Scott? For Golesh to succeed merely being better wont be enough; he has to be much much better. Lets say he wins 4 games in season 2. On paper double then Scott; but would it be considered success? I think not. While this year I have low expectations by next year I expect a bowl game.

Probably true. My worry is that it sets us back for this year; and makes a quick turn around less likely.

Better question

It would be very hard pressed to find a worst head coach with less intensity and game management. It would be really hard to find a worse defense.
