All you have to do is look at the leading tacklers on the team. The first line of defense is the Dline. I'm not saying our LBs were great, but they carried the defense.

Barrett Ruud used to lead the Bucs in tackles every year too but they were 10 yards down field and he played MLB.  Not saying that's the case here, but tackle numbers can be deceiving

LBs will usually lead in tackles, the DLines job is to keep the OLine tied up so the LBs will do the tackling.

Yes, so the question becomes are the LB's step up and filling gaps or are they making the tackles down the field after the RB has gained 5- 7 yards a clip.

Correct. But we can’t tell that from tackles statistics

Im my eyes the dline was getting gashed and the linebackers had to pick up the slack.
