Considering that we will have played 4 teams currently in the top 20,  it is ridiculous that we are still in limbo about a bowl game.  If we would have substituted  FAU and FIU for Miami and Penn State,  we would have been top 20 going to Hartford and probably already have a bowl bid by now.

if UL wins we have one anyway.

Big time games only matter if you win.

Well next year we wont be playing Penn State nor UM on the road.

So our Out of conference slate will be

At North Carolina

At UCF

FIU home

I would say probably

FAMU or another 1AA at home

and away at someone like Indiana or other BCS team which will go 1-1 with us.

That and Four home games for BE slate means a lot easier than this year's slate.

I feel a tuff schedule helps with recruitng a lot.

come to our school and play FAU and FIU

or come here and play Penn State and Miami

I also think it makes the team better, if you want to be a big dog you have to run with them.

Frankly if we have to rely on a crap schedule like that to get into a bowl game then we really wouldn't be deserving anyway. Besides, maybe you would find it satisfying to watch us play and beat up on a bunch of nobodys but to me that would just be a garbage season. This season with games against PSU, Miami and the better Big East teams was hands down the most exciting ever and I can't wait for our schedules to get better and better.

In other words the key isn't to play crap but to quit playing LIKE crap

South Carolina needs a home game next year.  UCF bailed on them.  Maybe we could get a 1-1 with them.

This year's schedule is tougher than Nevada's.  The Wolf Pack beat Fresno and La Tech @ home.  USF had three quality wins (UCF, Lou, @Rut).  Unless Colorado or UCLA wins, Bulls good to motor on.

South Carolina wanted UCF to bail...if they didnt they wouldn't have waived the fee.

UCF is going to be a tough team next year, I think they play Florida

It gains you nothing if you can't win games.

It's supposed to make you play tougher, but losing to Pitt & UConn shows that we are still not tough enough.

I am terrified of the UCF game next year. A loss to them will set us back big time.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
