Would have been no shame to lose this one on the road but really nice to get one of these.  But, you have to wonder how Texas was #22 with a 3 - 3 record. Now 3-4

Week 3: #19 (1-3) <-- Dropped 16 spots for losing 3 straight road games/ neutral site vs. ranked opponents.
-- #3 UCONN by 7 (Road)
-- #24 Marquette by 7 (Bahamas)
-- #18 Louisville by 8 (Bahamas)
Week 4: #22 (3-3) <-- Will fall out of the rankings in Week 5 after losing to unranked USF by 5 at home.

So their losses were against good teams. Makes our win vs them look better. If we could have picked up the win v Michigan we'd be ranked.

One red flag tonight - all five starters played nearly the entire game. No bench production at all. Can’t continue to do that.

Gonzalez went down in the 2nd quarter with what appeared to be an ankle injury and she was the biggest contributor off the bench. Ladies have 8 days off before traveling to ranked nc state so we’ll see if she will be good to go and how Jose handles the bench

Our bench is pretty much all freshman right now so doubt they'll get too much playing time in big games. Hopefully when Maria Alvarez gets back she'll help take some minutes.

She came back later in the game. So should be ok.

An awesome, well-earned W tonight! Our 3 headed monster of Dulcy, Tsineke, and Sammie THREEsus came to play.

My biggest worry for this team still stands. If DFM gets in foul trouble, or worse injured, we have no post presence like her to take her place. Stay healthy, Dulcy!
