Getting a 12th-ranked class at Florida is like getting a 90th ranked class at USF. Or something like that.

Unless Deion comes (apparently not gonna happen), almost any coach that is available is going to have issues. Being a UF fan in addition to a USF and being pretty familiar with Mullen, I agree 100% that Mullen would be an excellent hire for USF. Comparisons to Strong and dismissing coaches as “retreads” would be a mistake in this instance IMHO. Yup. Was just fine at Mississippi State. 3 top 13 finishes at UF in 4 years. He's a great coach to get your program to a top 25 level, not a great coach if you want to compete for a national championship. That's no concern for us

Mullen has made Alex Smith, Tim Tebow, Dak Prescott, and Kyle Trask. Nobody else in college football is more of a QB whisperer Our QB is already pre-whispered though. How are the defenses?

Don't see him as a good hire. I think we need a coach who has winning momentum. If not Deion then Chadwell!

Bet you he can do much better with a #65 recruiting class than xCJS did

Does he come with a DC or what's the story there? We really need to keep the offense rolling (could retain OC) but boost the defense up.
