I really would like serious thoughts of why are they so bad?

It cant be just talent as there is so many plays were know one is near the ball. 

Are they not intelligent players?

Has coaching been that bad?

I'm at a loss

3 years of atrophy. CJS knew zilch about defense or player development onthat side of the ball.

It's not all talent.  Look what Navy did to them last week with lower ranked players.  Navy is well coached and plays with discipline and passion.

Navy has always had a good defense. At least it seems that way. I could be wrong.

Its all on the coaches...the defense assumed the gomer pyle attitude of the former HC you notice how when they played hard vs UF and late vs UCF they actually were forcing turnovers and flying around and looked semi decent. 

Can't wait to get rid of stench left by last coach.
