Several things:

1. A point is "moot"...jot it down...put it on a post-it note,

   whatever.

2. I don't know how much of that "don't travel well" thing

   really applies here. I mean, if you went from Uconn to

   Detroit in great numbers - you went for the team. Much

   in the same way we'd go from USF to Charlotte.

3. I honestly have no idea what sort of demand there would

   be for this bowl. I imagine - being the first - that demand

   would spike just for that reason alone.

Whatever the demand is, I think it would have been greater had we not had the semi-realistic shot at the BCS bowl. As you can tell from this board, expectations changed. The fringe fans out there are now disappointed that we aren't going to the Sugar Bowl and the bowl luster for some has been dulled because of it ...
