So this was posted last weekend . . . and it prompted me to see what USF does in relation to album drops from Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift released a new album on Oct 21st... and yes, Purdue lost AGAIN.

USF is 1-4 in games immediately (within 7 days) after Tay Tay dropped a new album during the season (two albums dropped outside of the regular season), but if it came before a bye week, USF won.

  • 2006 - Oct 24 - USF bye week, won at home against Pittsburgh on Nov 4
  • 2008 - Nov 11 - USF lost at home to Rutgers on Nov 15
  • 2010 - Oct 25 - USF bye week, won at home against Rutgers on Nov 3
  • 2012 - Oct 22 - USF lost at home to Syracuse on Oct 27
  • 2014 - Oct 27 - USF lost at home to Houston on Nov 1
  • 2017 - Nov 10 - USF won at home against Tulsa on Nov 16
  • 2019 - Aug 23 - USF lost at home to Wisconsin on Aug 30
  • 2022 - Oct 21 - USF bye week . . .  ??

Does the streak continue -- winning the post-bye-week game when Taylor Swift releases an album before the bye week?

Weird Al?  Yes. Not a biopic. Believe he turns out to be a bad guy in the film, a comedy. And WA is involved in the project.
