The refs effed us hard. Gerry B made some bad plays and the defense gave up some bad plays. The defense and the offense both had some positives. The defense made some clutch plays and the offense finally ran an offense that caters to the team. We ran the RPO, motion behind the line to create mismatches and misdirection, and the offense looked more like the spread option than a passing offense. I will actually say Jeff Scott had intensity on the side lines tonight that I did not think he had. WE came prepared and had a solid game plan . WE shot ourselves in the foot with the bad snap. Sucks we lost but we lost to the REFS not an FBs team. Edited September 18, 2022 by Outlaw

USF did great job overcoming that but then choked game away at end! should have taken shot to end zone on last drive. Our holder sucks and needs to be replaced

If they don't throw the unnecessary roughing on Hill when 77 on the gators was the aggressor we get a 4th down and a field goal. If they don't call a PI on our player when he got hit before the ball we keep the driving going. 16 minutes ago, Sellular1 said: Gerry running the ball has no quit, he made a bunch of 1st downs on his motor I have been saying for weeks we need to run the spread option with more RPO and motion behind the line of scrimmage to create misdirection and mismatches.

Did he talk to Jim before the game or what? I saw him screaming at the refs all night. 3 minutes ago, BiggTipp said: If they play with this level of aggression and clean up some mistakes, this team will be playing ball in December for sure. If and only if. Time will tell. Switch to the spread option all season. Battie is our RB1, Gerry B can run the RPO and option. The receivers and passing game need work. The defense is big question but they did their part tonight.

The fact that he went with battie has me sold. In the past they would roll with mangham just based on liking him. Theybput their best guys out there. Thwy did this without their 3rd best offensive player - horn was out there but he has to be hurt. He would have made a difference in the running and passing game. Bohannon has poise but has to work on not locking on a wr, and also he is missing his guys high. If they play well a next week, the BYU game looks as if it may have been a combo of jitters, and figuring out who are practice all Americans and who are actually gamers. The 2nd half defense may have been this teams "syracuse" moment. It seemed like something definitely clicked for this team out there today.
