Well I am of Haitian descent and when I saw this story below it solidified my love for USF. I first took notice of USF when they had the FIRST tryouts and some buddies (I went to North Miami Senior High) of mine that went to USF tried out for the team. They didn't make it though. Then when USF beat Auburn I was like whoa, these boys can play! I officially became a fan after reading this story below. To me USF was the closest I would ever get to seeing an actual Haitian "American" Football team . Then I started reading the ESPN blogs and then the Bullspen. After a while, I kind of started watching more USF games than UF games until one day I cut UF off completely. Even when I attended UF I hated the fans. After the "FireRonzook.com" I stopped being a fan and only kept watching because I am a BIG Tim Tebow fan. Once he graduated that was it for me. I always loved how USF showed love to Haitian players. Hell I feel we may need to take that route again. Truth be told, I'm actually enjoying my USF Journey. When we finally have success, we all will appreciate it more and not take it for granted because of our struggles. Haiti's history and present is pretty rough. I'm sure you seen many news stories and have your views on my culture. But we take nothing for granted, have a lot of pride and will NEVER stop being grateful to God. Side note: I don't usually get personal on this board, but my mother has a charity that supports an orphanage and school in Haiti. I put the link below "if" you would like to donate. All donations are tax deductible, so if you are looking for a charity to donate that does not have a "middle man" the link is below. I personally load physical donations into a truck container 2-3 times a year and it gets shipped to those kids on the website. Last year, our president was assassinated by some Colombian mercenaries and the people responsible is still in power..... in addition to the gang wars, natural disasters and other issues. This is why you never see me crying about USF not being a good team. There are so much more serious issues in this world to be upset or butt hurt about. We had a fellow Bull even go to Ukraine and did WONDERFUL work this year. I have plenty of stuff to stress about in my life. College Football is not one of them. It is suppose to be our escape from the harsh realities of our real lives. With that being said Go Bulls!!!! Hope For Haitian Children Foundation, Inc. HFHCF is a 501 (c)(3) foundation that supports the education and development of Haitian children and families through FEPE Orphanage and EFE School in Haiti Edited September 16, 2022 by Gatorbull325 3 2

Who was your favorite player other than JPp? We have some several good ones here with Haitian or Creole backgrounds. It kind of was a usf for a while. I wonder why that changed ?

I was a UF fan growing up probably because my whole family are Gator fans. I then became a USF basically because they are closer to home and it has been fun watching them start up and make some noise. It always feels like it is USF vs the college football world. USF has had many great Haitian players in our short history. They played a big role in USF reaching number 2 and also beating FSU in Tally. I wish Coach Leavitt was still the coach as I know we would still have a tough defense thanks to his staffs recruiting which included many players of Haitian descent.

Selvie was the defensive GOAT here bar none! It was a shame when he was drafted there was not as many 3-4 in the pros because I really think he would have been a great 3-4 rusher.
