WEAVER CLIMBS CHARTS: Junior wide receiver Xavier Weaver led USF with 715 receiving yards in 2021, the fifth-best season in program history, and posted a career-best 113 yards on five catches in the season-opener, moving him into 14th all-time on the career receiving chart with 1,130 yards. A season similar to last year would move him into the top four all-time at USF and he currently stands 1,006 yards behind all-time leader Andre Davis (2,136, 2011-14).

He may get a 1000 yard season. I personally think he will.

I expect weaver and horn both to have tremendous seasons and be much needed catalysts for the offense, and also for the confidence of GB1.

Gerry has some really good targets to throw to. we shouldnt be performing so poorly right now

Weaver had a bad game this week. The screen interception was on him, right? I recall seeing blame put on a missed WR block.

After 1 week my only take away is wide receivers and kick returners are the strength of this team. Weaver did have 1 bad drop just outside to the end zone but i think Mangham scored anyways on that drive. I do believe Weaver breaks the single season record this year...822 yards i think it is...hard to believe Andre Davis didn't have a 1000 yard season in 2012 i think it was he had like 400 after the first 3 games...BJ breaking his leg that year is probably why we've never had 1000 yard receiver...i think this is the year of the receiver
