This is why I am excited about the season.  By the end of the season we will know if Jeff Scott is the guy or not. No more excuses.  I am ready to see his Year 3 in action and finally get some answers.

Ugh, I had convinced myself not to ever get my hopes up for USF football after the last couple of years but I got to say I'm feeling really good about this upcoming year. We have a proven QB, a rebuilt defense, a veteran O-line, a slew of awesome running backs.

This SHOULD be the year it all comes back together. Let's hope Scott has figured it out.

Every year I make it to about July without optimism.  Then around July 20th I start thinking "maybe things will click and this will be the year!"  Most years I go into the games about 60% positivity and can manage the eventual gut kick.  This year I am at about 90% confident in a turnaround.  If this team comes out and poops the bed against BYU it may break me.  Expecting a win or a close 2021 Tulsa like loss.

-Culture from Strong? This is your 3rd year, the culture's whatever you've made it.

-Talent and Depth? After the transition class you've still had 2 classes to bring in your own guys. Also 2 non-covid seasons to develop players.

-Coaching mistakes? Scott better be watching film on himself for in game management. No more timeouts to figure out a 4th and 1 call. He's no longer a 1st time head coach.

-Don't have a QB? We got a QB on the roster who took a 2 win team to 10 wins in one year. Either have a sugar bowl winning QB, or Timmy has developed enough to beat out a sugar bowl winning QB.

-DC is too conservative? We now got a guy who has succeeded at multiple stops and is known to play aggressive.
