Then everyone will be happy enough and there will be no reason to continually fight, however people meet expectations and if there are none we see the results of that. Setting the bar at there is no bar for years is doing no one any favors, even if it’s trying to be the good person. No one is trying to set a ceiling but there needs to be a floor, so if we win four or less there is no way you are going to defend that and claim no one should have expected more? Correct?

I’ve said many times that 6 is a real possibility but a lot will have to break right. We shall see.

Bowl game or bust. After we win 6 or more wins this season I expect us to start winning 8 or more starting next season

From your lips to G-d’s ears, that’s a path I’m sure everyone can get behind; pretending getting back to the starting line after three years is progress? Not so much.

Realistically we start 1 - 3.  Leaves 8 games. Have to go 5 - 3 in conference which means winning more conference games that we've won the last 3 years total. I'd be thrilled with .500 in conference this year. Okay, thrilled isn't the word. Maybe - encouraged - that we're moving in the right direction.

Yeah when you run the numbers from a 1-3 start and include Hou, ucf, and Cincy later, six wins won’t be easy that’s for sure.

As has been mentioned before, the season is truly going to hinge on the ECU game - hopefully CJS has that one circled as a must win

And ECU is pretty decent now. Agreed it is a must win or you could be staring at a 2/3 win season at best.

I know that I’m a newer fan, but I don’t like that video as much as most of you. It basically shows clips from 15 years ago “when we were good” and says that we are going back to that.  But are we, really?
We don’t play those teams any more, we have completely different coaches and conference…I don’t know, it just didn’t resonate.

Sure, it was exciting to see the past, but I’m more about looking forward.
