that is better than i expected.  Well done... no need to be embarrased.  Yes some of those are season ticket holders that didn't show, but compare that with our previous noon home games and i bet it beats them considerably.

I Agree with the Bishop and Velcro, 2-3 years ago we would have loved to have an announced 27,000...we will have to continue to deal with the growing pains (i.e. unusual start times, last minute game time changes) as long as our overall attendance average continues to trend upward I'm happy. Not everything will be perfect, we just have to deal with it.

Yeah, the fans coulda/shoulda have shown up but isn't it incumbent on the school to promote the program? Shouldnt they have maybe TRIED to get the students to come out and see the team get bowl eligible? Maybe its me.

Maybe it is you... what did they do or didn't do?  How do you know they didn't try?  I guess you are just assuming to know what you are talking about?

Also, you can't put all or even most of the blame on the students.  They make up a small fraction of the fans that attend colege football games.

Fellas (and the occassional ladies), it's going to take time and wins.  If we go to and win a bowl game I imagine season tickets sales will go up.  Right now, when you can decide on gameday whether you want to go to a game or not, you're going to get games like this one.

When tickets become a hot commodity, this will be less likely to happen.  People will want season tickets for fear of not being able to attend the games they want.  In turn if they have season tickets they are more likely to attend most of the games or give or sell their tickets to someone else.

If we keep progreesing the way that we have, I see us averaging 45-50k within the next two years.
