USF Game at UConn Selected by ABC  

(November 20, 2005) Now in it's ninth season, the USF football program is still seeing firsts. Today, the Bulls got word they will make a first-ever appearance on ABC, in what will be a regional broadcast. ABC will also televise Miami and Virginia and Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Details of what areas will pick up the USF game remain to be finalized.

Dr. Jerry Punch and Terry Bowden are expected to call the game.

USF (6-3, 4-1) gained bowl eligibility yesterday with a 31-13 win over Cincinnati. If the Bulls can win at UConn and then the following Saturday (December 3) against West Virginia, they will win the BIG EAST's BCS bid.

It will be VERY interesting to see where in the Southeast (particularly Florida) they select Miami or USF.  I have a hard time believing we will get the nod over Miami in most markets.
