Honestly, I would hope that two things have happened before this to setup a great game. 1. UCF leaves the conference and ends the tradition of scheduling us 2. Miami buys out the 2027 game

Open ASAP. Why blow an opportunity to have a huge opening and THEN the Miami game a year later (hopefully after establishing some new traditions)?

Then we schedule UCF as the opener and stomp them into the ground to open our new stadium.

Apparently, there’s a 3/4 court press on this. I’m cynical too but this is the closest I’ve ever seen to USF getting over the line since the daggum feasibility study in 2018.
